Born in the north of Sweden, now residing in Berlin, Germany.
I studied fine art in Stockholm and Kokkola, Finland followed by an education in Animation and Experimental Film.
I draw inspiration from expressionism, abstract art, film, and I view my work as a visual diary of my daily encounters, navigating the contrasts of big city life and my longing for stillness and nature.
My art emerges from within, exploring themes rooted in the dichotomy of existence: broken spaces juxtaposed with beauty, the interplay of darkness and lightness, chaos and order. The emotional spectrum of darkness, joy, doubts, ambiguity and my interpretation of personal experiences is always present in my works.
Visually, my work is characterized by abstract and representational shapes, lines, and drawings, inhabiting diffuse spaces and sometimes strange compositions. I use acrylic paint, crayons, pencils, sandpaper, and unconventional tools, creating a tactile and layered aesthetic.
The creative process is at best, a translation of what I see and feel. I paint in many layers, often with a sense of urgency, to later return and paint over or sand down and start anew. This act of creation and destruction is a reflection of a continuous, ever-evolving impression of the here and now.
Living in Sweden is in many ways fantastic. However, I felt a strong desire to experience something else, something more. Big city life including concerts, street art, different people from different cultures and a somewhat more chaotic/interrsting existence than the safe life I had there.
When looking at my paintings now I can see that Berlin's graffiti which surrounds me on a daily basis, has influenced me with it's traces and layers and the strong need for personal expression.
